The Alder

Al·der /ˈôldər/- a tree of the birch family, Alder is derived from Old English and has roots in the meanings noble, strong, and old tree. The alder tree, has traditionally been revered for its resilience and ability to thrive in challenging environments. Often seen growing along rivers and streams, the alder is linked to swamps, mystery and secrecy in a mythological sense.
